People are laying flowers in front of the Iranian embassy in Armenia, since Monday morning.
They note that Iran is a friendly country of Armenia and together with them mourn the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and others.
A book of mourning will be opened at the embassy Tuesday.
Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that President Ebrahim Raisi and several other Iranian officials were killed in a helicopter crash Sunday evening, after Raisi was returning from a meeting with the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Earlier on that day, they had attended the opening ceremony of two aqueducts on the Aras River.
