Members of the UN Security Council on 17 May observed a minute of silence in memory of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdollahian, and members of the delegation killed in a helicopter crash, IRNA reported.

Raisi and his accompanying delegation were returning from a dam opening ceremony on the Araks River organized by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev when the helicopter crashed, causing the death of the president, Iran's foreign minister, and other occupants.
