Two aircrafts of Turkish Airlines landed at Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow two hours after abolition of visa regime between Turkey and Russia.

Some citizens got an entry visa at the airport, although Russian border guards warned that Turkish citizens will enter Russia without a visa, Samanyolu website reports.

Eight crew members were the first Turks to enter Moscow without a visa from Istanbul. Attaché of Turkish Embassy in Moscow and a representative of Turkish Airlines welcomed them with flowers at the airport.

On April 16, an agreement on visa-free regime between Russia and Turkey has come into effect.
