An incident involving the former member of the Armenian Parliament Hakob Hakobyan (nicknamed Choit) occurred in front of the assembly hall of the RA Government, where the Armenian Parliament is holding sittings now.

The photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan was taking pictures of Karo Karapetyan, Hrant Grigoryan and Tigran Stepanyan, members of the Prosperous Armenia Party, who were standing at the entrance. The ex-MP, Hakob Hakobyan (Choit) approached the building at that moment. On seeking the photojournalist taking pictures, “Choit” attacked him, swearing at him.

The MP Karo Karapetyan told “Choit” the journalist was doing his job.

Gagik Shamshyan video recorded the incident and is going to go to police.
