Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Turkish media, the leaders discussed Turkish-Azerbaijani relations and regional and global issues during the conversation.
Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the "progress of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in a positive direction" and said Turkey is closely following the process.
He emphasized that a just and lasting peace in the region will create a new climate for Azerbaijan, Armenia, and regional countries.
