The peace agreement to be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a historic opportunity for the region, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, TRT Haber reported.

He also said that Turkey and Georgia, "as countries in the region, will continue to cooperate to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus."
