Information is officially given about confirmed visits of high-ranking officials to the Republic of Armenia. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, referring to the report that a visit of Iranian President, the late Ebrahim Raisi, to Armenia was planned for Sunday 19, but it was postponed.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that TASS news agency had disseminated information, citing its source, according to which Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was planning to visit Armenia on Sunday, but the visit was postponed at the last moment.

As per the aforesaid source, Raisi was expected to participate in the opening of a transport corridor in Armenia on Sunday. The news agency, however, do not elaborate on what kind of transport corridor it is about.

President Ebrahim Raisi and several other Iranian officials were killed in a helicopter crash Sunday evening.
