The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reported details and published a video of the armed attack on a capital city Yerevan police station.

Accordingly, at around 5pm on Sunday, three persons armed with hand grenades approached the aforesaid police station through the open window, and threatened to blow up the duty station with hand grenades.

The police officer closed the window of the duty station, after which the person making threats threw a hand grenade, which it exploded in front of the entrance door of the duty station of the administrative building of this police station.

As a result of the explosion, two of the aforementioned persons sustained leg injuries and were taken to a medical center.

The third person, holding the hand grenades, continued to threaten to blow up the building.

Officers of various police divisions and of other law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene.

Negotiations were started to hand over the hand grenades. And after some time, 34-year-old S.H., armed with hand grenades, was rendered ineffective by the police and National Security Service officers. Four hand grenades were found in his possession.

It was found out that the person who exploded the grenade is 55-year-old A. M.

As a result of the explosion, 55-year-old A. M. and 51-year-old V. G. were injured and taken to a medical center.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
